1. What was the climax of the story?
The climax is when hes going against the law and writing in this diary and trys to hook up with O’Brien to pick at his brain. O’Brien clamed to have the same feelings Winston has but in the end Winston ends up getting played. And O’Brien spends months torturing and brainwashing him. Winston spirt breaks and he ends up like everyone esle.

2. What was the social commentary?
Its law, its government. No person in this nation is truely free. We have limits and lines we are not allowed to past.

3. Why did you like/dislike the novel?
I didn't really like it. I don't understand books bout the government. I believe that subject bout government can make alot of people mad. So lets talk bout it less?

What elements of Big Brother do you see in the U.S. today?

I think the best example is the same-sex marriage. The reason why is because 'big brother' wants to control every movement the people do. In the same-sex marriage situtation, the government is telling the citizens what gender their allowed to marry. I don't agree with that because we have a freedom of speech and to be happy. There nothing in the law saying people aren't allowed to marry the same gender.

Conflict

The conflict is between the government controling the people rights and privacy. The story is about a man name Winston whos trying to break free from government's control but it will also lead to horrible consequences.
